Hello friends. Happy Saturday!

πŸŽ™οΈ Behind the Breakdown Recap

We are finally ending the genealogies. Whew. Now we get into some of the greatest stories in the entire Old Testament. I cannot wait to read them together.

πŸ“š Scripture. πŸ’ͺ

(1 Chronicles 10:13-14) So Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord. He failed to obey the Lord’s command, and he even consulted a medium instead of asking the Lord for guidance. So the Lord killed him and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.

Observation: Saul had such a great start but such a tragic end. The book of Proverbs says that a strong beginning does not guarantee a strong conclusion. We cannot rest on yesterday. We must win the day, or tomorrow will be lost. This doesn’t mean we strive for perfection but pursue a closeness with the Lord daily. We trust Him to lead us and never lean on our own understanding. We consistently lean into Him so He can direct our paths.

Application: Imagine what you would like people to say about you one day. Is the way you are living going to deliver it? What do you need to adjust?

Prayer: Thank You for leading us when we don’t know where to go and cannot see our way ahead.
