He Is Risen

Introduction

This morning changes everything.

Before the sun rose today, the greatest victory in history had already been won. The stone was rolled away. The grave was empty. Jesus is alive.

“He is not here, for He has risen, as He said.” – Matthew 28:6

Easter is not just a celebration. It is a declaration. Jesus did exactly what He promised He would do.

From Death to Life

Only days ago, everything looked lost. The cross felt final. The silence of Saturday felt heavy.

But God was not finished.

What looked like defeat became the doorway to victory. What looked like the end became a new beginning.

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live.” – John 11:25

Jesus did not just rise from the dead. He defeated death itself.

That means death does not win. Sin does not win. Darkness does not win.

Jesus wins.

What This Means for You

Easter is not just something that happened to Jesus. It is something that can happen in you.

Because He lives, you can have:

  • Forgiveness for your past
  • Freedom in your present
  • Hope for your future

No matter what you walked in carrying today, the empty tomb speaks a better word.

Your failure is not final.
Your pain is not permanent.
Your story is not over.

Come and See

When the women arrived at the tomb, the angel gave a simple invitation.

“Come, see the place where He lay.” – Matthew 28:6

Faith begins with seeing what God has done.

Take a moment today to slow down and reflect. The tomb is empty. Let that reality sink in.

Then the invitation moves forward.

“Then go quickly and tell His disciples…” – Matthew 28:7

We are not just called to believe the resurrection. We are called to share it.

Three Ways to Respond This Morning

1. Believe Personally

Do not just admire the resurrection. Receive it.

Place your trust fully in Jesus. Let today be the day you stop trying to earn what He has already accomplished.

2. Worship Fully

Let your heart respond.

Sing louder. Pray deeper. Thank God specifically for what He has done for you through Jesus.

Worship is the natural response to an empty tomb.

3. Share Boldly

Someone in your life needs hope today.

Send a text. Invite someone to church. Tell your story.

The resurrection is too good to keep to yourself.

This Is Just the Beginning

Easter morning is not the end of the story. It is the beginning of a new way to live.

“Because I live, you also will live.” – John 14:19

That promise is for you.

So today, celebrate with everything you have.
Rejoice with everything in you.
Believe with fresh faith.

Jesus is Alive.
And because He is alive, everything can change.
