*This weekly newsletter will share about the Bible Breakdown podcast, things about RLC, and my favorite things from around the web. My prayer is it will help you know God better.
Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
The start of a new year naturally makes us think about change. Romans 12 reminds us that real change begins with surrender, not self-improvement. God’s mercy invites us into a transformed life, not a pressured one. Today’s devotion centers on how worship reshapes the way we live every day.

📚 Scripture. 💪
(Romans 12:1–2) And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Observation: God’s mercy is the foundation of the Christian life, not our performance. True worship involves our everyday choices, not just church gatherings. Transformation starts internally before it ever becomes visible externally. The world constantly presses us into its mold, often subtly and slowly. God’s will becomes clearer as he reshapes our thinking.
Application: I will intentionally surrender my daily habits and decisions to God as an act of worship.
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for the mercy that invites me to live differently. Renew my mind and shape my life so that I reflect Your will and not the patterns of this world.

Wiersbe offers a collection of short, encouraging devotional readings centered on facing life’s challenges with faith. Each chapter reminds readers that God often uses difficulties as stepping stones toward spiritual maturity. The book is full of Scripture, wisdom, and real-world applications that speak to everyday struggles. What makes it so helpful is Wiersbe’s ability to turn obstacles into opportunities for growth and deeper trust in God. It’s well worth reading if you need perspective, comfort, and renewed courage.
✍️ Quote of the Week That Makes You Think

🤪 Meme of the week

Romans 12 reminds us that growth is not about trying harder but about yielding more fully. God transforms us as we place our lives back into His hands. This year does not have to be defined by pressure or perfection. It can be determined by surrender and renewal.
