*This weekly newsletter will share about the Bible Breakdown podcast, things about RLC, and my favorite things from around the web. My prayer is it will help you know God better.
Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
Sometimes God’s greatest work happens in unexpected places. After the church in Jerusalem faced persecution, the believers scattered across the region. What looked like a setback became a setup for God’s mission to expand. Acts 8 shows us that the gospel cannot be stopped—it simply moves wherever God’s people go. Even in seasons of disruption, God is still working through you.

📚 Scripture. 💪
(Acts 8:4) — “But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went.”
Observation: This verse highlights the unstoppable nature of the gospel. Persecution had broken out against the church in Jerusalem after Stephen’s death, forcing believers to flee for their lives. Yet, instead of silencing their message, it multiplied their impact. Everywhere they went, they told people about Jesus. These weren’t apostles or trained teachers—they were ordinary followers whose hearts had been changed. God took what seemed like a tragedy and turned it into a movement. This is how God often works: what the enemy means for harm, God uses for good. The scattering of the church became the seedbed of global mission. The early believers learned that the message of Jesus doesn’t stay confined to one city, one culture, or one comfort zone—it goes wherever His people go.
Application: Maybe your life feels scattered right now—different job, new city, unexpected change. Take heart: God does His best work in uncertain seasons. Like the believers in Acts 8, you can share His hope wherever you are. You don’t need a pulpit to preach; your life and your story can point others to Jesus right where He’s placed you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for using every part of my life for Your purpose. When things feel uncertain or out of control, remind me that You’re still moving. Help me to see every place I go as an opportunity to share Your love. Use my story to spread the Good News of Jesus wherever I am.

God’s plan doesn’t stop when ours fall apart. The same Spirit who empowered the early church to spread hope through hardship is still at work in you. So even when life feels scattered, trust that God is planting you for a purpose. Wherever you go, the mission goes with you.
