Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
Life brings moments of hardship that can feel overwhelming. In 2 Corinthians 1, Paul speaks openly about suffering and comfort. God does not waste pain—He meets us in it. Today’s devotion reminds us that comfort received becomes comfort shared.

📚 Scripture. 💪
(2 Corinthians 1:3–4) 3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
Observation: God is near in times of suffering. Comfort comes directly from Him, not circumstances. Pain can become a pathway for ministry. God redeems suffering by using it for others’ good. Comfort received equips believers to care for others.
Application: I will trust God with my pain and allow Him to use it to encourage others.
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for meeting me with comfort in my struggles. Help me extend that same comfort to those who are hurting.

📚 Book Recommendation. Dark Night of the Cross. (John of the Cross)
"Dark Night of the Soul" is a profound exploration of the spiritual seasons when God feels distant, silent, or absent. Written from deep personal suffering and pastoral wisdom, the book explains that these “dark nights” are not signs of God’s abandonment but of His purifying work in the soul. John argues that God uses darkness to strip away false comforts, misplaced attachments, and shallow faith so that deeper union with Him can grow. Though challenging and at times dense, the book offers hope to believers who feel stuck, dry, or confused in their spiritual life. It reframes spiritual struggle as formation rather than failure. This book is especially recommended for mature Christians, pastors, and those walking through prolonged seasons of spiritual dryness who need a theological and hopeful lens for suffering.

🤪 Meme of the week

Suffering does not mean God is distant. He draws near with compassion and purpose. God’s comfort sustains us and sends us outward to others. Even pain can become a testimony of grace.
