Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
As February draws to a close, many of us carry quiet burdens—regret, shame, or spiritual fatigue. Zechariah 3 offers a powerful picture of God’s grace toward His people. This vision reminds us that the Lord is both our defender and our cleanser. It is a timely word for anyone longing for renewal and hope.

📚 Scripture. 💪

Zechariah 3:2, 4 (NLT)
““The Lord rebuked Satan and said, ‘This man is like a burning stick… I have taken away your sins, and now I am giving you these fine new clothes."

Observation: Zechariah sees Joshua the high priest standing before the Lord, accused by Satan. Joshua’s filthy garments symbolize guilt and unworthiness before a holy God. The Lord rebukes Satan, emphasizing His sovereign choice and mercy. God commands that Joshua’s dirty clothes be replaced with clean garments, signifying forgiveness and restoration. This act is entirely God’s initiative, not Joshua’s achievement. The passage points forward to God’s promise of cleansing through His chosen servant.

Application: Release any lingering shame to God and trust Him to clothe you in His grace and righteousness.

Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, that You silence the voice of accusation and replace my guilt with grace. Help me walk forward clothed in the forgiveness You freely give.

The Origins of Hanukkah: Light in the Darkness
Question: What is Hanukkah, and should I celebrate it? Did Jesus? Answer: Great question. Yes, Jesus would have celebrated Hanukkah. In John 10, it says Jesus celebrated the “Feast of Dedication.” That is Hanukkah! You do not have to celebrate this holiday, but knowing about it can enrich your thankfulness

📣 Sermon/Testimony. Preaching Truth in a Culture of Lies. (HB Charles, Jr) H.B. Charles Jr. preaches with authority, clarity, and a pastoral heart for believers wrestling with culture. This message helps Christians hold onto Scripture when culture pushes contrary messages. Charles blends biblical depth with practical application — exactly what the church needs today. His voice encourages boldness, conviction, and gospel confidence

🤔 Apologetics. Reason and Imagination: Basic Apologetics Course. (Art Lindsley) Apologetics isn’t dry or dull — combining logic with imagination helps make the gospel compelling. This video shows how thoughtful engagement with culture resonates more deeply than rote answers. It equips believers to communicate truth in ways people from different worldviews can understand. Christian witness becomes both rational and relatable.

🧠 Mental Health. How to Stop Fighting Intrusive or Negative Thoughts - Passengers on a Bus Exercise from ACT. This video breaks down the “Passengers on the Bus” metaphor from ACT therapy to help with intrusive thoughts. It’s important because intrusive thinking can feel overwhelming and paralyzing until understood through effective frameworks. Learning these techniques promotes calm, clarity, and emotional self-regulation. The channel offers practical, research-grounded strategies for everyday mental health challenges.

✍️ Deeper Study. Digging Deeper (Part 1) | Bible Study Methods. This video walks through a practical, step-by-step Bible study method that helps believers explore Scripture with intention and depth. It emphasizes tools and questions that uncover context, meaning, and application, rather than just passive reading. Learning a method like this is important because it trains you to think biblically, not just what to think about a passage, fostering mature interpretation. When Christians dig deeper into Scripture, they grow in wisdom, discernment, and spiritual understanding, helping them live out the Word with confidence and clarity.

📚 Book Recommendation. Jayber Crow: A Novel. (Wendell Berry) Although a novel, Jayber Crow explores themes deeply resonant with Christian discipleship — vocation, community, loss, and grace. Wendell Berry’s reflective prose helps readers see faith lived out in ordinary life, not just on Sunday mornings. The book fosters empathy, spiritual imagination, and an awareness of God’s work in the rhythms of rural life. Reading fiction like this can deepen a Christian’s understanding of the gospel’s implications in everyday contexts.

Why does February feel so long?
Because winter refuses to spring forward.

🤪 Meme of the week

God does not leave His people standing in shame. He defends, restores, and renews those He calls. As this month comes to a close, let this vision remind you that God’s grace is greater than your past. Step into the next season confident in the righteousness He provides.
