As we move beyond Christmas Day and into the final days of the year, it's a perfect time to reflect on the gift of Jesus that continues long after the holiday is over. The lights may come down soon, but the light of Christ never fades. This season reminds us that God is always doing something new in our hearts. Let’s finish the year with gratitude and expectation for what God will do next.

📚 Scripture. 💪

(Romans 1:16) “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.”

Observation: In Romans 1, Paul lays the foundation for the entire letter by declaring his bold confidence in the gospel. He knows that the message of Jesus is powerful enough to change anyone, regardless of background or history. This verse calls attention to the universal reach of God’s salvation. Paul wants his readers to understand that the gospel is not a mere idea—it is God’s power actively working in the world. No one is beyond its reach, and no situation is too broken for its transformation. This opening declaration sets the tone for Romans, reminding believers to stand unashamed in their faith.

Application: This verse challenges us to live boldly for Jesus, remembering that the gospel we carry truly changes lives. As we enter a new year, we can walk with confidence in God’s power at work within us.

Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for giving me the life-changing power of the gospel. Help me to live confidently and unashamed of Your truth. Strengthen my heart as I step into the new year with faith.

📚 Book Recommendation. Start With Why. (Simon Sinek)
Sinek argues that great leaders and organizations inspire others by clearly communicating why they do what they do—before explaining the how or the what. Through examples from business, history, and culture, he shows how a strong “why” creates loyalty, clarity, and momentum. The book challenges readers to dig deeper into their purpose and align their actions with their core beliefs. What makes it so valuable is that it helps individuals and teams recapture passion and direction in their work. It’s an essential read for anyone wanting to lead with meaning and inspire others more effectively.
