Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
As we move closer to Easter, we’re reminded that God is both just and merciful. Genesis 19 is a difficult chapter, but it reveals the seriousness of sin and the kindness of God in rescue. Lot’s story shows how easy it is to drift toward compromise. Yet even in judgment, God still reaches out with grace.

📚 Scripture. 💪
Genesis 19:16-17 (NLT)
“When Lot still hesitated, the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for the Lord was merciful. 17 When they were safely out of the city, one of the angels ordered, “Run for your lives! And don’t look back or stop anywhere in the valley! Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away!”
Observation: Sin has a way of normalizing itself over time. Lot’s hesitation shows how attached he had become to a broken place. God’s mercy is evident in physically pulling Lot out of danger. Looking back represents longing for what God is rescuing us from. God’s judgment is real, but so is His desire to save. The aftermath shows that compromise leaves lasting consequences.
Application: Let go of anything God is calling you out of and refuse to look back.
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for rescuing me even when I hesitate or drift. Give me the courage to leave sin behind and follow You fully without looking back.

📣 Sermon/Testimony. The Key to Making Wise Decisions. (Charles Stanley) This sermon highlights the importance of obedience in the Christian life and how it leads to spiritual growth and blessing. Stanley explains that God’s guidance is clear when we are willing to listen and respond with a surrendered heart. He challenges believers to align their decisions with God’s Word rather than emotions or convenience.
🤔 Apologetics. The Book of Mormon Does Not Teach What People Think. (Interview) If you have a friend who is part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this is a great interview to share. This may help to start some good conversations.

📚 Book Recommendation. Yes to Life. (Viktor Frankl) This short book captures Frankl’s core message: to say “yes” to life even in the face of suffering and uncertainty. It encourages readers to embrace responsibility, meaning, and hope rather than despair. For Christians, it echoes the biblical call to endure hardship with faith and trust in God’s greater purpose. It is especially helpful for anyone walking through discouragement or trying to rediscover purpose.

God’s grace often shows up in moments we don’t deserve. This chapter reminds us that rescue sometimes feels urgent and uncomfortable. But what God is leading us from is never as good as what He is leading us into. Trust Him enough to move forward without regret.
