📚 Scripture. 💪
(1 Kings 8:10-11) When the priests came out of the Holy Place, a thick cloud filled the Temple of the Lord. The priests could not continue their service because of the cloud, for the glorious presence of the Lord filled the Temple of the Lord.
Observation: This is an amazing moment in the history of Israel. Solomon has spent seven years building a magnificent temple to honor Yahweh. Finally, the day has arrived. When it does, the true King reminds everyone what it is like what Royalty truly enters the room. The atmosphere cannot contain His presence and a cloud envelopes His Majesty. The mental image of this is staggering. The Bible says the priests could not continue their worship because of the cloud. I wonder if it was because of awe and wonder or out of fear… perhaps a little bit of it all.
Application: Realize the Great King of All Things now lives in You. We are now the temple of God.
Prayer: Thank You for loving me and saving me. Now, I get to have your presence with me at all times.
