🎧 My Favorite BibleBreakdown Episode This Week>>>

My favorite episode this week: 2 Kings 13:20-21

πŸ“š Scripture. πŸ’ͺ

(2 Kings 13:20-21) Then Elisha died and was buried. Groups of Moabite raiders used to invade the land each spring. 21 Once when some Israelites were burying a man, they spied a band of these raiders. So they hastily threw the corpse into the tomb of Elisha and fled. But as soon as the body touched Elisha’s bones, the dead man revived and jumped to his feet!

Observation: When Elijah was about to go to Heaven, he asked Elisha what he wanted. Elisha said he wanted a double helping of the anointed God had given to Elijah. Up to the time of his death, Elisha was just one short of performing exactly double the amount of miracles Elijah had. Unfortunately, he died before God could do one more miracle through him. But that wasn’t the end. God keeps His promises. After Elisha died, God used his dead body to raise someone else back to life! Wow! This equals twice the amount of miracles of Elijah. God keeps His promises. Not even death can stop Him.

Application: Trust God completely. Not even death can stop God from doing what He promises to do.

Prayer: Thank You for being completely trustworthy.
