📚 Scripture. 💪
(Ezekiel 25:6-7) "Because you clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel, therefore I will stretch out my hand against you..."
Observation: In Ezekiel 25, God brings judgment not only on Israel’s enemies but holds them accountable for celebrating Israel’s downfall. This reveals that God sees the heart behind our actions. Malicious joy over someone else's hardship is not hidden from Him.
Application: It's easy to feel justified when those who have wronged us experience hardship, but God calls us to a higher standard — one of compassion, humility, and forgiveness. This week, let's guard our hearts from secretly celebrating others’ misfortunes, and instead, pray for healing and restoration.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to keep my heart soft toward others, even when they fail or fall. Teach me to love, forgive, and extend grace just as You have done for me. Keep me from harboring secret malice or rejoicing in anyone's pain. Make my heart like Yours. In Jesus’ name, amen.
