Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
Have you ever been handed an assignment that made you want to double-check the sender's address? That’s kind of how Matthew 10 feels—Jesus gives His disciples a bold, dangerous mission… and zero sugarcoating. He sends them out like sheep among wolves and tells them to expect rejection, persecution, and awkward conversations—classic team-building vibes.
🎧 My Favorite BibleBreakdown Episode This Week>>>
📚 Scripture. 💪
(Mastthew 10:16) “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.”
Observation: Jesus prepares His disciples for a mission that is anything but comfortable. He acknowledges the danger and doesn’t promise ease—but He does promise presence. His strategy is both bold and wise: combine godly innocence with street-smart wisdom, knowing that the world may not welcome the message but still needs it.
Application: Following Jesus means stepping into uncomfortable spaces with confidence in the One who sends you. It’s easy to think boldness and kindness can’t mix, but Jesus calls us to walk in both. This week, I need to ask: where am I shrinking back from gospel opportunities because they feel awkward or risky?
Prayer: Lord, help me not to fear the wolves or avoid the mission. Make me wise and gentle—bold enough to speak truth and kind eough to reflect Your heart. Send me out today, not in fear, but in faith.

🤪 Dad Joke of the week
What did the ocean say to the beach?
Nothing—it just waved.
Jesus doesn’t call us to safe, silent faith—He calls us to bold, loving witness. Matthew 10 reminds us that gospel work may be messy, but we’re not alone. Sheep among wolves? Maybe. But we’re also sons and daughters of the King.
