*This weekly newsletter will share about the Bible Breakdown podcast, things about RLC, and my favorite things from around the web. My prayer is it will help you know God better.
Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
As we move closer to spring, there’s a growing sense of anticipation in the air. Ephesians 3 pulls back the curtain on God’s eternal plan and the depth of His love for His people. Paul reminds us that the Christian life is not powered by effort alone but by being strengthened from within. This chapter calls us to live anchored in a love that reshapes everything.

📚 Scripture. 💪
Ephesians 3:16 (NLT)
“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.”
Observation: Paul describes the gospel as a mystery now revealed through Christ. This mystery includes Gentiles being fully included in God’s family. Paul sees his own suffering as part of God’s greater purpose, not a contradiction to it. He prays that believers would be strengthened with power through the Spirit in their inner being. The focus of his prayer is not on circumstances changing but on hearts being rooted in Christ’s love. God’s love is described as vast, immeasurable, and far greater than our ability to fully understand.
Application: I will ask God to strengthen my inner life rather than only asking Him to fix my external situations.
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for inviting me into a love that is deeper and wider than I can comprehend. Strengthen my heart so that I may live fully grounded in Your presence and grace.

Today I am walking you through my seminary paper, an inductive bible study on 1 Samuel 18:1-5 and I share all kinds of bible study tips on how to do an inductive bible study!"
📚 Book Recommendation. Jayber Crow: A Novel. (Wendell Berry) Although a novel, Jayber Crow explores themes deeply resonant with Christian discipleship — vocation, community, loss, and grace. Wendell Berry’s reflective prose helps readers see faith lived out in ordinary life, not just on Sunday mornings. The book fosters empathy, spiritual imagination, and an awareness of God’s work in the rhythms of rural life. Reading fiction like this can deepen a Christian’s understanding of the gospel’s implications in everyday contexts.

I am convinced that a prayerless approach to God’s Word is a major reason for the low- level dissatisfaction that hums beneath the surface of our lives. — Matt Smethhurst

🤪 Meme of the week

Paul’s prayer reminds us that spiritual growth begins on the inside. God wants to shape who we are before changing what we do. When we are rooted in Christ’s love, we can face hardship with confidence and peace. This week, slow down enough to let that love sink in and do its quiet work.
