*This weekly newsletter will share about the Bible Breakdown podcast, things about RLC, and my favorite things from around the web. My prayer is it will help you know God better.
Hey Bible Breakdown family!
We’re halfway through the year, and here we are in the heat of July! Whether you’re enjoying summer vacations, staying cool inside, or just soaking in the longer days, I want to remind you of something powerful: Jesus is still on the throne. In Revelation 5, we’re given a glimpse of heaven where no one is worthy to open the scroll—until the Lion of the tribe of Judah appears. That Lion is Jesus. In a chaotic world, this heavenly image brings peace to our hearts. Our King isn’t scrambling. He’s not worried. He’s reigning.
As we study through Revelation on the podcast, we’re reminded that God’s plan is not only in motion but also already victorious. You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or tired from all the noise, but hold on. The Lamb who was slain is worthy. He sees you. And He’s working for your good even in ways you cannot see.
Let this newsletter encourage you with Scripture, help you go deeper with solid resources, and give you something to smile about. Let’s break it down—together.

📚 Scripture. 💪
(Revelation 5:5) “But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, ‘Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David’s throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals.’”
Observation: In this moment of tension in heaven, John weeps because no one can open the scroll, which symbolizes God’s ultimate plan. But then, hope breaks in. Jesus, the Lion of Judah and Root of David, steps forward. He has conquered. Heaven is not without a Savior.
Application: When we face seasons of grief or fear, we can forget who Jesus is. He’s not just gentle—He’s victorious. Whatever you’re going through, take heart. You don’t need to live in fear. Jesus has already won.
Prayer: Jesus, thank You for being both the Lion and the Lamb. When I feel like giving up, remind me that You’ve already conquered. Help me rest in Your victory today. Amen.
