Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
There are moments when God moves in ways that change everything. Acts 2 records one of those moments—the birth of the Church through the power of the Holy Spirit. What began as 120 people praying in an upper room became a worldwide movement that continues to this day. When the fire of the Holy Spirit fell, ordinary men and women were transformed into bold witnesses for Christ. That same power is available to you today.

📚 Scripture. 💪

(Acts 2:4) — “And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”

Observation: This verse marks the fulfillment of Jesus’ promise in Acts 1:8 that His followers would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. The Spirit’s arrival was not quiet or subtle—it was marked by wind, fire, and bold proclamation. The miracle of languages wasn’t just for show; it was God’s way of spreading the gospel to all nations represented in Jerusalem that day. Those who had once been timid and uncertain suddenly became courageous and unstoppable. The Holy Spirit didn’t just fill the room—He filled the people. What’s most powerful is that this wasn’t a one-time event. The same Spirit who empowered the early church still empowers believers today to speak truth, show love, and live boldly for Christ.

Application: You don’t have to wait for a special moment or feeling—the Holy Spirit already lives within you. Ask God to make you aware of His presence and to fill you afresh with boldness and love. Whether you’re at work, at home, or in a conversation with a friend, the Spirit wants to work through you. When you yield your life to Him, He’ll give you the strength, words, and courage you need to make a difference.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank You for living in me. Fill me again with Your power and boldness. Help me to live in a way that brings glory to Jesus and points others toward You. Use me today to be a light in the world and to share Your love with those around me.

When Healing Doesn’t Come: Finding Hope When God Says “No”
Question: I prayed, but God didn’t heal. Why? Answer: This is a great question that comes down to understanding the Sovereignty of God, the definition of healing, dealing with incorrect doctrine, and trusting the Lord. Let’s talk about it. Few moments pierce the heart more deeply than standing at the

📣 Sermon/Testimony. Undaunted. (Josh McDowell)
McDowell tells his raw, pre-Christian story—abuse, doubt, and investigation—and how evidence for Jesus intersected with personal healing. It’s a compelling blend of apologetics and testimony that connects head and heart. Great for skeptics, students, and anyone discipling people through doubt

🤔 Apologetics. Absolute vs Relative Truth.
This article defines relativism (the idea that no one set of beliefs is more valid than another) and then demonstrates how relativism fails logically (e.g., the self-defeating problem: “If all truth is relative” is itself an absolute claim). It helps equip readers to articulate why Christian belief in objective truth is both logical and necessary. Useful for developing a clear apologetic posture.

🤓 CS Lewis. C. S. Lewis’s Argument from Reason (Link)
This article discusses one of Lewis’s classic apologetic moves: that reason itself needs grounding—if naturalism (or materialism) is true, then our trust in reason is undermined, whereas Christian theism provides a basis for trusting reason

🤪 Dad Joke of the week

Why was the Thanksgiving soup so expensive?
It had 24 carrots. 🥕

The same Spirit who set the world on fire in Acts 2 is still moving today. God doesn’t need perfect people—He needs willing vessels. If you make yourself available, He’ll fill you with power and purpose that goes far beyond what you could ever imagine. So, lift your head, open your heart, and let the fire fall again.
