Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
As we move further into May, we begin to see how God brings beauty from brokenness. Genesis 45 is a powerful moment where Joseph reveals himself to his brothers. What could have been revenge becomes a moment of grace. This chapter reminds us that God is always working behind the scenes.

📚 Scripture. 💪

Genesis 45:7–8 (NLT)
“God has sent me ahead of you to keep you and your families alive and to preserve many survivors. So it was God who sent me here, not you! And he is the one who made me an adviser to Pharaoh—the manager of his entire palace and the governor of all Egypt."

Observation: Joseph finally reveals his identity after years of suffering and separation. Instead of bitterness, he responds with grace and forgiveness. He recognizes that God was working through the hardship to preserve life. Joseph shifts the focus from human wrongdoing to divine purpose. This moment shows emotional healing and spiritual maturity. God’s sovereignty is clearly seen in how He redeems painful situations.

Application: Choose forgiveness by trusting that God can redeem what others meant for harm.

Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for turning even painful experiences into something good. Help me forgive others and trust Your greater plan.

Can a Christian Lose Their Salvation?
Question: Can a Christian lose their salvation? Answer: This is a great question and has been debated for a very long time. While I do not think we can settle this debate once and for all in one blog post, let’s try to find our way toward a clear understanding

📣 Sermon/Testimony. Jonah Sermon Series Part 2. (Tim Mackie)
This teaching highlights Jonah sleeping in the storm as a picture of spiritual apathy. Mackie contrasts Jonah’s indifference with the pagan sailors’ growing awareness of God. The message calls believers to wake up spiritually and engage with what God is doing rather than drifting through life.

🤔 Apologetics. When It Comes To The Flood, Moses Got It Right. (J. Warner Wallace) This message addresses common objections to Christianity and demonstrates how to answer them thoughtfully and respectfully. The speaker emphasizes that truth is objective and that Christianity offers coherent answers to life’s biggest questions. It challenges viewers to engage both their mind and heart when considering faith.

🧠 Mental Health. Finding Your Why. (Therapy in a Nutshell) This teaching explores how people often misinterpret situations because of faulty thinking patterns. It encourages viewers to slow down and analyze their thoughts logically rather than reacting emotionally. This mirrors apologetics by promoting disciplined thinking and careful evaluation of truth claims.

✍️ Deeper Study. The Queen of Heaven. (The Naked Bible - Dr. Michael Heiser) This video explores the reliability of the Bible, highlighting historical evidence and manuscript consistency. It explains why the Scriptures can be trusted as both a spiritual authority and a historically grounded document. The teaching strengthens confidence in God’s Word by showing that it stands up to careful scrutiny.

📚 Book Recommendation. Uptime. (Laura Mae Martin) A practical system for productivity, focus, and managing your time well. This book offers a fresh approach to productivity by focusing on energy, priorities, and intentional living rather than just doing more. Laura Mae Martin provides practical strategies for organizing your time and focusing on what truly matters. It encourages readers to align their daily habits with their bigger purpose, which resonates deeply with Christian stewardship of time. This is a great resource for anyone who wants to live with clarity rather than constant overwhelm.

🤪 Meme of the week

Forgiveness is not easy, but it is powerful. Joseph’s story reminds us that God is always at work, even in betrayal. When we trust Him, we can release what we’ve been holding onto. God can take what was broken and make it whole again.
