By the middle of September, the slower rhythm of summer can feel like a distant memory. Responsibilities begin piling up, calendars fill, and the weight of everyday life can start wearing us down. Psalm 68 celebrates the greatness and victory of God while also reminding us how personally He cares for His people. One simple verse gives us a beautiful picture of a God who carries our burdens day after day.

Psalm 68:19
"Praise the Lord; praise God our savior! For each day he carries us in his arms."
Observation: David describes God as our Savior who carries us each day. That phrase gives us a deeply personal picture of God's care. God sees the responsibilities, worries, disappointments, and pressures we encounter every day. His help is available for today's needs and will still be available when tomorrow arrives. David responds to this truth with praise because remembering God's care naturally produces worship. We often exhaust ourselves trying to carry life entirely in our own strength. God invites us to depend on His strength instead. Every morning gives us another opportunity to trust the God who has faithfully carried us this far.
Application: Begin each morning this week by thanking God for carrying you and asking Him for the strength you need for that day.
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for carrying me through every season and for giving me the strength I need each day. Help me depend on You instead of trying to handle everything in my own strength.
