Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
As October begins winding down, our attention will soon turn toward the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. Psalm 100 gives us a wonderful head start by calling God’s people to live with gratitude right now. Thanksgiving is more than a holiday on the calendar because gratitude is meant to become a rhythm of the Christian life. We always have a reason to give thanks because the goodness of God never changes.

📚 Scripture. 💪
Psalm 100:4 NLT
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise.”
Observation: Psalm 100 is filled with joy, celebration, worship, and gratitude. The people of God are invited to enter His presence already thinking about reasons to praise Him. Gratitude changes the way we approach God because it reminds us of what He has already done. It also helps us recognize blessings we can easily overlook when life becomes busy. The psalm connects our gratitude to the character of God. He is good, His love never fails, and His faithfulness continues through every generation. Our circumstances will change many times throughout our lives, but the character of God remains steady. Remembering His goodness gives us a reason to worship in every season.
Application: Begin each morning this week by naming three specific things for which you are thankful to God.
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for Your goodness, faithful love, and the countless blessings You have placed in my life. Open my eyes to recognize Your gifts and help gratitude become part of the way I live every day.

📣 Sermon/Testimony. When God Answers Prayer. (HB Charles)
H. B. Charles Jr. delivers an encouraging message about the character of the God we approach in prayer. He reminds us that our confidence in prayer comes from God’s power, faithfulness, and ability to accomplish more than we could ever accomplish ourselves. This message will encourage anyone who needs to trust God with circumstances that feel bigger than their own strength.
🤔 Apologetics. William Lane Craig vs. Alex Rosenberg: Is Faith in God Reasonable?
This discussion allows you to watch two very different worldviews interact through philosophical arguments, evidence, and objections. Pay attention to how each speaker builds an argument from premises toward a conclusion and how the other responds. It is a great way to move beyond memorizing apologetic answers and begin learning how to evaluate arguments for yourself.
🧠 Mental Health. How to Stop Waking Up in the Middle of the Night.
Sleep has a significant impact on our ability to think clearly, regulate our emotions, and handle the pressures of everyday life. This video explains why some people repeatedly wake during the night and offers practical strategies for developing healthier sleep patterns. It is a helpful resource for anyone who struggles to stay asleep or wakes up with a mind that immediately begins racing.
📚 Book Recommendation. Dare to Lead. (Brené Brown)
Dare to Lead explores courage, vulnerability, trust, values, and the difficult conversations required for healthy leadership. For a Christian leader, the book can provide useful language for examining whether fear or insecurity is shaping the way we lead people. Brown’s framework should be read through a biblical lens, but many of her observations about courage, empathy, honesty, and organizational culture can provoke valuable reflection. It is especially useful for pastors and ministry leaders who want to build cultures where people can communicate honestly and grow through difficult conversations
✍️ Quote of the Week That Makes You Think
“Christian faith is not ‘blind faith’; that is, it is not opposed to reason, evidence, logic, or knowledge.”

🤪 Meme of the Week

Gratitude grows when we intentionally pay attention to the goodness of God. There are blessings all around us that can become invisible when we rush through life. Slow down this week and notice the ways God has been faithful to you. Then turn what you notice into praise.
