Hello friends. Happy Saturday!
Spring reminds us of growth, and Colossians 1 points us to what true spiritual growth looks like. Paul centers everything on the person and work of Jesus. This chapter lifts our eyes to see Christ in His fullness. It calls us to build our lives on Him alone.

📚 Scripture. 💪
Colossians 1:15–17 (NLT)
“Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation. 16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. 17 He existed before anything else and he holds all creation together."
Observation: This chapter presents one of the clearest pictures of who Jesus is. He is not just a teacher but the Creator and Sustainer of all things. Everything exists through Him and for Him. Paul emphasizes that Jesus is the head of the church and the source of salvation. The mystery of the gospel is that Christ now lives within believers. This truth changes everything about identity and purpose.
Application: Make Jesus the center of your life, not just a part of it.
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, that You are above all things and still choose to dwell in me. Help me live each day with You at the center of everything I do.

🧠 Mental Health. Finding Purpose and Meaning to Overcome Depression. (Therapy in a Nutshell) This video discusses how emotional reasoning can lead people to believe something is true simply because it feels true. It emphasizes separating feelings from facts and grounding beliefs in reality. This is essential in apologetics, where truth must be based on evidence and reason rather than emotion.
✍️ Deeper Study. The Gog and Magog Invasion. (The Naked Bible - Dr. Michael Heiser) This teaching focuses on the problem of evil and how it fits within a Christian worldview. The speaker explains that the existence of evil does not disprove God but actually points toward a moral framework that requires Him. It helps believers understand suffering in a way that strengthens faith rather than weakening it.
📚 Book Recommendation. The Rational Bible: Genesis. (Dennis Prager) A thoughtful and accessible commentary on Genesis from a rational perspective.
